Description
. In the large chart, the left column lists a
codon’s first base, the top row lists the second, and the right column
lists the third. Sixty-one of the triplets encode amino acids;
the remaining three are signals that stop translation. The amino
acid names that correspond to abbreviations in the chart are
listed above.
