Results from sequential study of two cohorts tested at three ages and at three different points in time. Comparing longitudinal results, Cohort 1 shows a sharper increase in industry scores between 20 and 31 years than does Cohort 2; though both have similar scores at age 31. Cross-sectional results suggest that the normative history-graded influences (Vietnam War, civil rights issues) lowered the young adults’ scores in 1966.
