German scholar Vinzenz Brinkmann analyzes sculptures using ultraviolet and x-ray fluorescence, microscopy, and pigment analysis; he and Ulrike Koch-Brinkmann then reconstruct them to look like the originals.
The patterns on the reconstruction of the archer are the most striking and make the figure more lifelike.
