Interaction of aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase with tRNA

Description
Aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase contacts multiple points on tRNA to identify the proper tRNA to charge with an amino acid (glutamate, in this example). Amino acid attachment occurs in a cleft of the synthetase that accommodates ATP, the amino acid, and the 3′ acceptor stem of tRNA
