Imagine that you are out in a forest, and you observe that squirrels there appear to cache their food only in the vicinity of certain species of of plants. Construct a hypothesis for how this behavior may have been the product of (a) Natural Selection (b) individual learning and (c) social learning

(a) Natural Selection

Only squirrels that were able to hide their food by distinguishing different plants were successfully able to survive.

(b) individual learning

The squirrels learned this behavior early in their lives because of imprinting at an early age from their parent's behavior.

social learning

Learnt it from other members of the squirrel population
