As core temperature increases
 
  a. all temperature-sensitive neurons in the preoptic area increase their firing rates.
 b. all temperature-sensitive neurons in the preoptic area decrease their firing rates.
 c. warm-sensitive neurons increase their firing rates, while cold-sensitive and temperature-insensitive neurons maintain a steady rate of firing.
  d. warm-sensitive neurons inhibit cold-sensitive neurons, while temperatureinsensitive neurons do not change.
