These symptoms suggest an avoidant personality disorder: fear of rejection, avoidance of rela-tionships, censorship of expression of thoughts and feelings because of fear of a negative reac-tion. 1. This client would present with unstable interpersonal relationships, labile affect, and complaints of emptiness. 2. Clients with this personality disorder are overly dramatic, manipula-tive, and attention-seeking. 4. Clients with this personality disorder are indifferent to and lack concern for interpersonal contacts.
