C) All except C are components in a three-part process at the heart of FCL:    (1)) Students engage in independent and group research on one aspect of the class inquiry;    (2)) they share their expertise with others; and (3)) they perform a consequential task.    Option C is incorrect as FCL focuses on the goal for the entire class to develop a deep    understanding of the topic (not just individual’s independent knowledge).
