Does having a sibling make any difference in your way of relating to others? How so? Describe a typical style of between-sibling behavior. Are feeling about siblings simple or complex? How so? What aspects of parents might mitigate some of the feelings between siblings?

Elementary school kids without a sibling generally tend to be less liked than those with siblings, and to be more aggressive. Sibling rivalry is very typical, with siblings feeling a complex combination of affection, hostility, and rivalry. Siblings are most likely to have a good relationship if they each have a warm relationship with parents, and if the marriage is satisfying to both parents.
