When assessing the patient with thrombocytopenia, the nurse observes for:
1.   distended neck veins and skin discoloration.
2.   discoloration of the nails and sclera.
3.   petechiae on the skin and bleeding gums.
4.   enlarged thyroid gland and excitability.
