D Correct. Children with autism perform best in highly structured environments with as much one-on-one instruction as possible. These interventions are designed to stimulate the child's communication skills, stressing receptive and expressive speech, and to promote emergence and mastery of other developmental tasks including eye contact, play skills, repetitive pattern recognition, and social interactions.
