Scotch is made in Scotland and its claim to fame is in the malted barley that gives a distinctive aftertaste. Single malts are produced from malted barley only. Blended scotch (the most popular) is made by combining single malts with unmalted grain whiskeys. Scotch is aged in oak for at least three years.

Bourbon comes from a county in Kentucky (Bourbon) where the classic drink was first made, It is aged in charred oak that creates a unique taste.
