According to the text, from an ethic of care perspective, low income housing should:

  a) Have certain eligibility standards that must be met and completed in order for someone to be
permitted to live in these subsidized units. Low income housing should not be easy to get into.
  b) Not only house low income individuals and families, but integrate them into the community, be
accessible to public transportation and provide a pleasing environment.
  c) Be available to anyone who wants it, with no eligibility requirements.
  d) Allow rent to be paid on a sliding scale so each person pays what he or she can.
