(Answer to Q. 2)  Answer: Students who take responsibility for their grades get better grades and also learn that they can control the grades they get.

(Answer to Q. 3)  Answer: High self-esteem is correlated with high academic performance and better behavior, but it does not cause them. There may be confounding variables related to the variables instead.
