https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/100_metres_hurdles

There are 9 contestants participating in 100 m hurdles in Olympics games.

9 is a odd number.

Is it possible that more than 9 contestants would like to participate i.e. 10,11 etc at a time?

In that case, the tracks available are 9?

So is there a restriction of maximum 9 participants in 100 m hurdles race?

Thanks & Regards,

There's no limit to how many people can race at once. The limiting factor is having to create a field wide enough to accommodate more than the current allowable number. Thus, it is better to conduct multiple races with different athletes than have them race all at once.
