I had a bunch of problems to work out and this is the only one that has me confused.  It someone could help me with it, I would be much grateful.  Thanks!

In Calculus, the difference quotient of f is defined as f(x+h)-f(x)/h where (x, f(x)) and (x+h, f(x+h)) are points on the graph of the function y=f(x). We can also see from a graph that the points (x, f(x)) and (x+h, f(x+h)) can be connected to form a secant line. So, the difference quotient is also the slope of the secant line through the points (x, f(x)) and (x+h, f(x+h)). For the function f(x) = 3x2 – 7, find the following:

a. Find the difference quotient.

b. Find the slope of the secant line for h= 0.5 at x = 1.

c. Find the slope of the secant line for h= 0.1 at x = 1.

d. Find the slope of the secant line for h= 0.01 at x = 1.

e. What value does the slope of the secant line approach as h approaches zero?

f. Find the equation for the secant line at x=1 with h=0.01. Write your answer in slope-intercept form.
