if the Ovaries Of they are removed during the last four months of pregnancy, a miscarried will most likely not take place. The loss of a fetus does not occur in the latter case because the
a) supply of maternal blood to the fetus is reduced
b) pituitary takes over the function of maintaining the pregnancy
c) placenta produced sufficient hormones to maintain the pregnancy
d) ovaries, before removal, produced a sufficient amount of hormone which persists and thus maintains the pregnancy
