I don't really understand how to balance chemical equations. I know the answer is MgCl2 + 2AgNO3 Rightwards Arrow Mg(NO3)2 + 2AgCl, but I don't understand how to get that products. How do you get the two in (NO3)2? Why do you put a two there? & when you're writing the products, why don't you put a two after Cl?

For the products Mg is a 2+ and NO3 is a 1-, so when you put as a compound it will be Mg(NO3)2. For Ag is a 1+ and Cl is a 1- so when you put as a compound it is AgCl.
