I'm doing a compare/contrast map (double bubble map) for metals and nonmetals.  Please give me as many answers as you can. (ty!)

Metals Non-metals
Similarities-both are elements. Differences below. (The centre column is the category, the left for metals and the right for non-metals)
Shiny Appearance Dull
Solids, State at r.t.p Solids, liquids, gases except inert liquids
High Melting/boiling points Low
High Malleability and ductility Low (stretchy) (brittle)
Good Electrical conductivity Poor
Good Heat conductivity Poor
High Sonourability Low (make sounds when tapped)
High Density Low
one or two or three     valence electrons     four or more
Hope this answers your question.

Metals are generally gray, all but Hg are solids, conduct heat and electricity, their oxides in water form bases, ductile, malleable, left side of periodic table, give away electrons in bonding, elements, more metals than nonmetals, high melting points and densities, low ionization energy, valence electrons move easily, shiny, low electronegativity, most metals have similar chemical or reactivity properties, Fr is the most active metal

Nonmetals have colors, many gases, one liquid, bromine, oxides form acids with water , brittle, not ductile or malleable, right side of periodic table, elements, poor conductors of heat and electricity, high electronegativity, high ionization energy, little to no luster, ability to gain electrons[except nobe gases], large range of chemical and reactivity properties[F is most active nonmetal but the noble gases do not react]

Do not forget that there are metalloids also called semi-metals, these have properties that vary depending on whether they are with a metal or nonmetal. Semi-conductors. along zigzag line dividing metals and nonmetals. Their oxides are amphoteric[ change between acid and base]
