If you don't have the process itself, can you inform me about where I can find it? (like a weblink or something) We're having this project where we will make either a pesticide or disinfectant out of the extract of Mimosa Pudica (makahiya plant).

it would be easier to go buy a can  at the hardware stor.

1) get in the car
2) drive to harware store
3) find cans of pesticides
4) shop lift or buy (your choice)

Pretty easy process.
Figure out what you want to extract: roots, stems, flowers, or leaves. Put plant parts in a bottle with a solvent and shake for a day or so. For a solvent I would use 80% ethanol. Make sure to cover bottle with foil because compounds can be degraded by light after they are extracted from the plant. Filter the plant material from the solvent. Dry down the solvent to concentrate it. Redisolve the plant extracts in solvent of choice. The protocol can be refined more if you know the compound that has disinfection properties.
