2 -- Prostate cancer is diagnosed and monitored by measuring prostate-specific antigen (PSA). The prostate may be examined by ultrasound to identify testicular torsion or masses, and by a prostate biopsy to accurately diagnose cancer. A CT scan, small bowel examination, and abdominal x-ray will not definitively diagnose the presence of prostate cancer.
