So in my chemistry lab we added 2.0 ml of 0.010M Pb(NO3)2 and I'm supposed to find moles. I know I can use the molarity equation to find the moles of lead nitrate added, but how do i find the moles of lead only?

Find the moles of lead nitrate, and that is the moles of lead because it is a 1:1 ratio (the reaction creates 1 mol Pb²+ per 1 mol Pb(NO3)2)

2 mL x (1L/1000mL) x (0.010 mol Pb(NO3)2/1L)) x (1 mol Pb2+/1 mol Pb(NO3)2))

For every Pb(NO3)2 there is exactly one Pb2+.

Do the math out, and there should be 2 x 10^-5 mol of lead.
