Welcome to the website Abdul.

Firstly, I need to know what type of medicine you are taking. Active hepatitis B could be triggered by many things and it's during this stage you have to be very careful.

Let me know as soon as possible.

Just make sure you do not consume any alcohol, use Tylenol, or antibiotics. They can affect the liver. Baraclude (Entecavir) is pretty good and will help with the activity of the virus.

Let me know if you need any advice.

Hi! i took up baraclude last 2007. although the reading of my blood test went down but very minimal as in by point  zero something per month. base on computation, I would need something like 10 years or more to take the medicine? do I need to continue taking it? thanks

That's good news.

You'll need to continue taking the medication. Remember, viral replication may have been weakened, but this doesn't ensure that the virus is gone.

Everything you do has side-effects Wink Face Eating too much oranges has side-effects, you see what I mean? Yes, there will be side-effects, but the effects are very minimal. You are better off with side-effects than you are without the medicine. The virus will never go away, well, normally it does not. The medicine does not cure anyone. However, depending on your immune system, some people are able to destroy it from their body shortly after they take it. It will however, weaken it, but not destroy it permenantly.
