In my lab we have to use a platinum wire to transfer C. elegans (microscopic worms) from one petri dish with gel to another one for mating and phenotype determining purposes. Has anyone done a similar lab and can offer any advice for transferring the worms? It is tedious and very easy to kill them but there has to be a method or trick I'm missing.

You should transfer the worms and the agar underneath it.

When you like a flower, you just pluck it out.
But when you love a flower, you water it daily.
The one who understands this, understands life.

- That's the difference between I like you and I love you.
