I have a big project coming up my topic is about GMF. I want to compare the food is already been genetically modified and the Un-modified foods (I think "Un-modified" foods call Organic foods right?)`` i just want to know what are the difference between, and what will happen if I put two tomatoes outside for one day, one is been modified and one has not been modify what is going to happen to them?

Those are foods that farmers and Agriculurists inject chemicals into during certain growing patterns like cross-pollination and fertilization. These foods result in a wide range of changes.

GM food is produced from plant animals and microbes that have had their genetic coad modified by the selective introduction of specific DNA segment through the use of gene splicing.

Genetically modified foods (GM foods, or biotech foods) are foods derived from genetically modified organisms (GMOs), specifically, genetically modified crops. GMOs have had specific changes introduced into their DNA by genetic engineering techniques. These techniques are much more precise than mutagenesis (mutation breeding) where an organism is exposed to radiation or chemicals to create a non-specific but stable change. Other techniques by which humans modify food organisms include selective breeding and somaclonal variation.

Commercial sale of genetically modified foods began in 1994, when Calgene first marketed its Flavr Savr delayed ripening tomato.Typically, genetically modified foods are transgenic plant products: soybean, corn, canola, and cotton seed oil. These may have been engineered for faster growth, resistance to pathogens, production of extra nutrients, or any other beneficial purpose. GM livestock have also been experimentally developed, although as of July 2010 none are currently on the market. Slight Smile Slight Smile
