Since they are so tiny, very little heat is required to 'burn them out'.

This has never been solved.
But it reads out in that it is implying the fire was biological in origin.

Cassidy, however, said that it is more likely that he simply caught fire from a nearby cigarette. His stomach fat then likely worked as a wick to contain the flames and keep the fire from damaging the room and home.

Henry Thomas is a famous SHC victim.
Why is he particularly famous even though his case happened only a few decades ago?

He was a non-smoker.

He was found burnt  in his chair, with just his legs left.

/offtopic/ also, does anyone know if misfolded prions are functional in that they perform actual chemical reactions? someone said because they have so many DB's that make them heat resistant, they're too rigid to perform them, but they somehow replicate by converting healthy prions.

I learned they cause other proteins to misfold and that's it. Read about Bovine spongiform encephalopathy or Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease.
