Some restaurateurs elect to lease, rather than buy, some types of advanced equipment such as point-of-sale (cashiering) systems and office computers. Why do you think leasing these items may make more sense than buying them outright?

This question is designed to focus the student's attention on the cash-related advantages of leasing rather than buying some types of restaurant equipment. This question specifically identifies technology-related equipment because this is a good example of restaurant equipment that changes rapidly and thus could be a good candidate for leasing rather than buying.
