16x^3 = x
16x^3 - x = 0
x(16x^2 - 1) = 0
x = 0
(16x^2 - 1) = 0
(4x + 1)(4x - 1) = 0
4x + 1 = 0
4x = - 1
x = - 1/4
4x - 1 = 0
4x = 1
x = 1/4

(- 1/4 , 0 , 1/4)

You must get the x on them same side of the equation. The right side is 1x. Divide by x.

(16x^3)/x = 1

Simplify.

16x^2 = 1    (when dividing exponets you subtract).

Now divide by the 16.

x^2 = 1/16

Now take the square root.

x = sqrt (1/16)

x= 1/4, -1/4, 0
