It was brought to my attention that a compound cannot be an aromatic and a halogen, which makes sense.

So which "name" takes priority?

I must determine if a benzene ring that has the element "Br" attached, is  aliphatic, aromatic, halide, saturated and/or unsaturated. The compound may have more then one term.

So I believe it is unsaturated for sure.

aromatic because of the benzene ring.
i think you'd only call it a halogen if it was just the diatomic Br2.
and you're right-it's unsaturated because there are double bonds in the ring:)
