I have an experiment in genetics involving Drosophila (fruit flies) and sex linked traits.

W = red eyes
w = white eyes

M = regular wings
m = miniature wings

F = regular hairs
f = forked hairs

These are all sex-linked traits. I want to make sure that I have my cross right. My P1 generation was:

Male wild-type (WMF)
female mutants (wmf)

What would my F2 generation look like? Would all the traits express together or can they be expressed independently?

Well your F1 generation would all be red eyed, regular wings, and regular hair because they will be heterozygous at every locus.  So the F2 generation would have a mixture of all the above.  The ratio should be 9:3:3:1
