👉 Lauric acid is 12 carbons

👉 Myristic Acid is 14 carbons

Both are even, so it makes the process easier

First calculate the number of rounds and acetyl-CoA's, start with lauric acid:

n/2 - 1 = 12/2 - 1 = 5 rounds of beta oxidation

n/2 = 12/2 = 6 acetyl-CoA molecules

> assuming that FADH2 is 2, NADH is 3, and ATP produced per Acetyl-CoA is 12

FADH2: 2 * 5 = 10
NADH: 3 * 5 = 15
ATP: 12 * 6 = 72

97 ATP in total, now take away 2 to get 95.
