i have a question where the parabola's in the positive x and y quadrant and its facing down.  is there an equation for something  like this?

Sure!  y=-(x-20)^2+20 will do it.  The - on the x^2 makes it flip upside down.  The -20 in the parenthesis makes it move 20 to the right.  The +20 outside the parenthesis makes it move 20 up.

Try -(x-5)^2+16
The (x-5) moves it to the right on the x axis.
The +16 moves it up 16 units on the y axis.

The parabola opens downward, so 'a' will be negative.

The vertex is in QI, so h and k will both be positive.

Equation:

y = a(x - h)² + k, where a < 0, h and k > 0
