Hyaluronate is a common glycosaminoglycan found in the extracellular matrix. This polysaccharide contains repeating units of Glucouronic acid and N-acetylglucosamine. The enzyme hyaluronidase is found as a component of some snake and insect toxins. How does it increase a toxin?s effectiveness?
