1,2,3 -- Modifiable risk factors for hip fracture include lower body weakness, problems with walking and balance, and taking four or more medications or any psychoactive medications. The patient complains of lower extremity weakness as well as a problem with maintaining her balance. She is presently taking two antihypertensive medications that may cause orthostatic changes in her blood pressure as well as two psychoactive drugs that may impair her sensorium and sense of balance. The other three choices are not considered modifiable risk factors.
