For my psych hw we have to describe flushing a toilet is like a neuron during firing using these words
1-depolarization
2-refractory period
3-resting potential
4-all or nothing principle
5-action potential
6-threshold

So for example for the all or nothing principle would be like flushing the toilet because it doesn't matter how hard you flush the handle the same action will happen.
