The Canadian government is divided into three branches: the executive branch; the legislative branch; and the judicial branch. The executive branch consists of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. The Legislative branch or parliament consists of the Senate and House of Commons. The judicial branch is made up of the courts and judges.
