I looked it up online and it seems like no one agrees on their definition and differences! Some are saying antibiotics only target bacteria while antimicrobial target all microbes while others say antibiotics destroys any form of microbe. If the former is true, whats the difference between antibiotics and antibacterial agents? If the latter is true, whats the difference between antibiotics and antimicrobial?

Look at the definition of microbe. 'Microbe' doesn't only mean bacteria, it encompasses all microorganisms that require a microscope to observe.

Antibiotics are medicines, where antibacterial agents is anything that is lethal to bacteria, such as alcohol or salt.

In other words, antibiotics are antibacterial agents which can be consumed, so to say? Because I don't think you can say synthetic substances since I'm sure there is medicine which is natural...
