The earth heats up in the tropics and cools off near the poles.
Wind and ocean currents move that heat toward the poles and bring some of the cooler air and water towards the tropics

Heated air in the Equatorial Low rises and spreads out. As it spreads out and cools, the moisture is precipitated out of the air mass. When the air reaches 20-30° latitude, it cools and sinks. As the air sinks, it gets compressed and warms, resulting in the warm temperatures at those locations.
