Use the Close Listening chart that accompanies CD 3:6 to follow the form of the piece. What is the structure of the stanzas and number of syllables in the various lines as described in WOM? What is the overall formal structure of Amor imposible?

What will be an ideal response?

4-lined stanzas; 11-syllable lines in the first three stanzas; fourth and last stanzas have a 6-5-6-5 syllable pattern in their lines
Intro-A-A-A-A-A-B-B-CC'-DD'-EE'-EE' (' after a letter means modified repetition) Note that the last C D E phrases are played by the harp alone. Follow the form using the Counter Numbers on the Close Listening guide to help you.
