I don't come here that often and I'm guessing that this has been discussed somewhere.

OK, I'm now guessing it would have been in the news more if it was taken seriously.

Aging occurs for various reasons. One reason is shortened telomeres in ones DNA as they age. This process can never be reversed. According to the main research article, it states:

Mitochondrial dysfunction is a hallmark of aging, but its causes are debated. We show that, during aging, there is a specific loss of mitochondrial, but not nuclear, encoded OXPHOS subunits.

That's only one small piece of the aging puzzle.

Does yeast not have that chemical aging effect?

The question doesn't come across correctly. Does yeast cause aging?

I guess this is what I was referring too:

http://inhabitat.com/anti-aging-secrets-discovered-in-yeast-could-be-the-key-to-eternal-youth/

Can't say the link is reputable, however.

I also came across this, which is also a snag:

The research used the equivalent of 500mg of NMN for every kilogram of body weight per day.
This means the substance would cost the average 86 kilogram man $43,000 a day and the average 71 kilogram woman $35,000 a day.
