The data table shows the value , v(t), of a car based on its age in years , t.
t        new        1                 2                      3
v(t)   25500    21675      18423.75    15660.1875

Determine the function (v)t
Determine the annual rate of depreciation as a percent.

Lets see. Each year, the price is the 85% of the price of the previous year. This can only mean one thing: the function is exponential.
We have:
v(t)=25500*(0,85)x

Quote
Determine the annual rate of depreciation as a percent.
It is 15% per year.

Quote
Determine the value of the car, to the nearest dollar, when it is 8 years old.
v(8)=25500*(0,85)8=25500*0,2724905250390625=6948,50838849609375=~6949$
