A client with severe and persistent paranoid schizophrenia has had several hospitalizations. He
responds quickly to antipsychotic medication but stops taking the medication soon after discharge.

Discharge planning after this hospitalization will include follow-up at the adult mental health clinic,
placement in a group home, and daily attendance at a psychosocial rehabilitation program.
  Evidence-based pharmacologic guidelines recommend prescribing
  a. chlorpromazine (Thorazine).
  b. thioridazine (Mellaril).
  c. fluphenazine decanoate (Prolixin decanoate).
  d. long-acting risperidone (Risperdal).
