A recent nursing graduate has sought out the nursing educator to propose a program that would predict which depressed clients are most likely to attempt suicide. How should the educator best respond to the nurse's proposal?

  A) There are already assessment tools in place that can predict suicide attempts quite accurately.
  B) Suicide is actually just as common among clients with nondepressive mental health disorders as it is among depressed clients.
  C) It's unethical to try to focus on one particular client's suicide risk more than another client's.
  D) Among clients with depression, it's impossible to accurately predict an individual's suicide risk.
