Given sec^2(theta)-4=0 and theta is greater than and equal to 90 . theta is smaller than or equal to 180 the value of theta is?

This is a difference of two squares:

(sec θ - 2)(sec θ + 2) = 0

so:

sec θ = 2
sec θ = -2

\(\cos{t} = \frac{1}{2}\) at  \(t = \frac{\pi}{3}\) and  \(t = \frac{5\pi}{3}\)

\(\cos{t} = -\frac{1}{2}\) at  \(t = \frac{2\pi}{3}\) and  \(t = \frac{4\pi}{3}\)
