In some species (ex. birds, lizards, insects) the male sex chromosome are homozygous while the female sex chromosomes are heterozygous.
The alleles distributed to male and female gametes, respectively, are
a) male: W, W female: Z, W
b) male: WW female: ZW
c) male: Ww, Ww, female: Zz, Ww
d) both male and female gametes would be WZ, Wz, wZ and wz
