Since the activity extends over many years, the financing sources should also be long-term financing. One option is to borrow from a bank or other financial institution. A second option sometimes used by large companies is to issue bonds which represent money borrowed over a long period of time. Bonds are a promise to repay the money by a certain date with interest.
