The nurse should instruct the patient to massage in the cream, head to toe, once and wash off in about 12 hours.
Permethrin cream should not be applied daily.
Permethrin cream should not be applied and rinsed in 10 minutes.
Shampooing the hair does not address the remaining body infestation.
