Because HSV-2 and HPV infections and candidiasis have nonbacterial etiologies, these infections are insensitive to antibiotics. Lymphogranuloma venereum (LGV) is an acute and chronic venereal disease caused by Chlamydia trachomatis and is consequently sensitive to antibiotics.
