Ans: C
Feedback:
Acquired congenital and infantile cataracts and other developmental defects of the ocular apparatus depend on the total dose of the agent and the embryonic stage at the time of exposure. During the last trimester of fetal life, genetically or environmentally influenced malformation of the superficial lens fibers can occur. Congenital lens opacities may occur in children of diabetic mothers. Mothers' age, HPV status, or preeclampsia does not place them at risk for giving birth to an infant with cataracts.
