Citric acid is a major industrial chemical. It is produced biologically using Yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) or mold (Aspergillus). Propose a metabolic engineering strategy to make the microorganism overproducer. You need only to discuss the biosynthetic pathway. There are other aspects should be considered, including transport and acidity in the cell. But, your answer should focus on engineering the pathway.
